As your therapist, I want to understand who you are. We will examine your identity and consider how your life experiences, relationships and sociocultural context impact you. We will explore what meaningful changes you could make in order to feel more fulfilled in life. This could involve shifting your perception of yourself, mindfully noticing emotions and thought patterns, and taking action-oriented steps towards change. I believe that all people are deserving of love, kindness and compassion. I help my clients develop more compassion for themselves through experiencing it in our therapeutic relationship and adopting ways to engage more compassionately with themselves.
